Stormy Forecast Postpones Beverly Summer Outdoor Block Party
The separate VIP party will go on as scheduled from 4 to 10 p.m. on Saturday with bands scheduled to perform on the street moving indoors.

BEVERLY, MA — Another rainy weekend day forecast is forcing the postponement of the Beverly Summer Block Party scheduled for Saturday.
Beverly Main Streets said that "due to unsafe weather conditions" involving possible thunderstorms the 10th annual outdoor event will not take place as scheduled.
"We are working hard to reschedule the event for September — stay tuned," organizers said.

The VIP Party — a separate event scheduled in conjunction with the outdoor party — will go on as scheduled from 4 to 10 p.m. with several of the bands booked for the outdoor event moving indoors.
Board of Directors Chair Jamie Engel organized the VIP Party to help raise additional funds for Beverly Main Streets to run the Summer Block Party and other programs and events throughout the spring and summer each year.

VIP tickets are $75 and can be purchased here.
"We won't see you on the street tomorrow, but there is still a chance to party with us and support our wonderful organization," organizers said.
