Digital Photography: Seeing Like a Camera Workshop: June 29 - July 3

Montserrat College of Art’s Summer 2015 Immersive Program is hosting a workshop on Digital Photography: Seeing Like a Camera. Learn the best techniques to ‘see like a camera’ through a series of shooting, editing and critiquing exercises. This skill set proves the difference between a “lucky shot” and the consistent images of a pro. Learn what makes images that inspire us to go to that place, eat that food, or join that experience. Photographing on location in the North Shore and Boston, we will also better out understanding of available light, from daylight, shadow, night and twilight conditions. This is a lecture/shooting class for beginners and intermediates.

*About Course Hours: David Wells in an exceptional instructor, and to that end, he incorporates additional shoots in the early morning (6:30am / 7 am) and evening hours (think sunset  -8pm). Students should come prepared to put in additional hours to get the most out of this fantastic class!

Students are required to have a digital SLR camera and/or a sophisticated point and shoot with manual settings mode.
