Montserrat College of Art’s Summer 2015 Immersive Program is hosting a workshop on Expressive Views in Italy I A TRAVEL PROGRAM. Our base in the medieval city of Viterbo offers the opportunity to pursue art making through a range of 2-d media (photo, drawing, painting and mixed media), to develop skills along with color theory and composition. We work inside the city walls and travel through the countryside to thermal baths, rolling hills and archeological sites nearby to work on site from observation, imagination and memory. Each participant is encouraged to use a variety of 2-d media; all are encouraged to use digital media to document and collect information as well as to make art.
