Montserrat College of Art’s Summer 2015 Immersive Program is hosting a workshop on Stop Motion Animation. Students explore the basics of three dimensional stop motion animation, bringing to life simple characters and narratives. Topics covered in this workshop include storyboarding, simple set design/construction, and using camera techniques, color and lighting to enhance the narrative. Small teams of students will work together to complete character walk-cycles and a short animated scene complete with sound.

Students will be introduced to Dragon Frame Capture Software, a Nikon Digital SLR Camera, and Adobe Audition and Premiere to create audio and titles. All files created will be in digital format.

This course is suggested to be taken in tandem with the Puppet Making Workshop June 15 - 19; students who enroll in both courses will receive a $150 tuition discount off their total tuition bill; full-time, undergraduate Montserrat students receive a special, internal discount when taking any 2 or more immersives- contact ce@Montserrat.edu for details.
