Summer Salsa Series Returns To Beverly's Lynch Park
Two "Salsa by the Sea" social dancing events will be held on June 20 and July 11 with instruction provided for newcomers.

BEVERLY, MA — Salsa by the Sea is returning to Beverly's Lynch Park this summer.
The city is hosting two free events with the first on June 20 and the second on July 11 from 6 to 8:30 where North Shore residents can either learn the basics of salsa or practice their moves.
Franklin Condori, who goes by DJ Condori on stage, will begin each night with 45 minutes of instruction. No prior salsa experience is necessary to participate.

DJ Condori is an instructor at Rumba y Timbal in Cambridge. He combines his passion for salsa with his fascination with the Palladium era and New York Mambo and brings a sound that promises swing and energy for the dancing masses.
"We had such a great turnout last summer, the weather was gorgeous, and the Lynch Park stage was the perfect spot to do the salsa instruction, with that lovely view of the ocean," said event organizer Katherine Shao. "Everyone who attended commented on what a wonderful setting it was for the social dancing."

"Social dancing is everywhere in Latin American countries — it's such a wonderful part of the culture where music and dancing just happen no matter where you are."
Participants are encouraged to bring their own water, non-alcoholic drinks, or picnic dinner. Dancing will take place both in the concert shell and on the lawn. Parking is free after 5 p.m.
The events will be moved inside the Carriage House in case of rain.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Beverly Cultural Council.
