ICYMI: SWAT Team Helps Serve Warrant on Drug Suspect

A SWAT team was called to Charnock Street on Friday morning to help Beverly police serve what was considered a high-risk warrant.

Charnock Street was blocked off for a time as detectives and the SWAT team arrested Steven Charles Kenney, 30, of 19 Charnock Street for possession with intent to distribute a Class A drug and possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug.

A warrant is high risk if it is thought that there might be weapons involved. There was no word on if, or what weapons Kenney may have had at his home.

Kenney was taken to be arraigned on the charges in district court.
