SYMPHONY BY THE SEA PLAYS AT THE CABOT, SUNDAY, OCT. 11 AT 3PM
SYMPHONY BY THE SEA NOW IN ITS 39TH CONSECUTIVE SEASON

Beverly’s Cabot Performing Arts Center has announced that the North Shore’s Symphony-By-The-Sea orchestra will perform at The Cabot on Sunday, October 11 with an opera themed program, followed by a holiday Pops concert on Sunday, December 20. Both performances will start at 3 PM. Tickets for these matinee events are available at www.TheCabot.org.
The October 11 concert will feature music from celebrated works of opera including Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Donizetti’s L’elsir d’amore, Rossini’s La Cenerentola, and Puccini’s LaBoheme, among several others.
Donald Palma, Music Director, stated. “All of us at Symphony-by-the-Sea are very excited to be moving into the Cabot Theater, our new home in Beverly. We are honored to be part of this important revitalization of this wonderful theater, which will serve as a major cultural hub for entire North Shore. We are looking forward to this collaboration and to our inaugural season, which will begin with and outstanding program of operatic favorites.”

Symphony-By-The-Sea has been performing since 1981 when it made its public debut at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem. Since its inception, the orchestra has brought a standout array of soloists to the listening public, including such celebrated artists as Sarah Heaton, Pamela Frank, Stephanie Chase, Paula Robison, D’Anna Fortunato,and Leone Buyce. Guest conductors have included Harry Ellis Dickson, Max Hobart and Steven Karidoyanes. Donald Palma, a guest conductor several years ago, begins his ninth season as Symphony by the Sea’s Conductor and Music Director.
The newly re-energized Cabot is a majestic 95-years-young showplace, now operating as a non-profit performing arts center.
