These Boots Were Made For Dancing!
Kinky Boots opened its show run at North Shore Music Theatre for a limited time.
The highly entertaining Musical “Kinky Boots” starts off slowly; Like a dreary Dickensian workhouse of shuffling shoemakers; Until; One dark night; Seemingly coming to the rescue of a “Damsel In Distress”; Charlie meets “Lola”; And things take a turn for the; well; Different!-Both Charlie & Lola have huge “Daddy Issues” and more in common as the play rolls on! The entire Cast is amazing; Singing, Dancing & Working together; While getting to really know & Accept each other “For Who They Are!” The Songs are alternatively Bouncy Pop & Tearful Ballads; Thanks to the moving music of Cyndi Lauper & The truly timely words of Harvey Fierstein! Kudos especially to the two leads here; Charlie and
Lola ; For their heartfelt solo showstoppers! And a Heavenly “Shout-Out” to Lola’s “Angels”; Who really kick the joint into high-stepping gear! Positive messages of Inclusion & Acceptance round out the evening’s finale! “Just Be Yourself; Everyone Else Is Taken!”-Do yourself a favor and kick it on up to the North Shore Music Theater; From now until November 6; Fancy Dress Not Required!
