Twins Attack, Injure Two Beverly Police Officers
The mother of Andrew Walker and Anthony Walker, 26, of Beverly, called police on her sons Monday night.
BEVERLY, MA —Two Beverly police officers were treated for injuries after being attacked by twin brothers when they responded to a domestic call Monday night. Andrew Walker and Anthony Walker, 26, of 51 Federal Street in Beverly, pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Salem District Court to charges of assault and battery on a police officer, suffocation or strangulation and assault and battery. Andrew Walker was also charged with a second count of strangulation for the attack on his brother that prompted his mother to call police.
According to the Salem News, which first reported to this story, the mother of the men called 911 around 11 p.m. when they started fighting. When officers Edward Hathon and Erik Abrahamson entered the apartment, the two men charged at them. Hathon and Abrahamson were treated for injuries at Beverly Hospital Monday night. Both officers received x-rays to look for possible neck injuries, and Abrahamson was also treated for cuts
