Ward 2 Ballot Set for November
The slate of candidates to become the next Ward 2 City Councilor was winnowed down from four to two on Tuesday.
Estelle Rand and Bryant Ayles ended on top of Tuesday's preliminary election voting in Ward 2, advancing to the general election on Nov. 5.
The winner will become the next City Council representative of Ward 2, which includes a portion of the downtown, and replace Wes Slate. Slate decided against seeking reelection after three terms and instead is running for mayor.
Also on the ballot Tuesday was Lance Daly, who received 197 votes and Rosemary Maglio, who received 115 votes.
