Weather Won't Derail Gran Prix Of Beverly
As of 1 pm, most of Thursday night's races were still on, according to organizers.
BEVERLY, MA -- Organizers said early Monday afternoon that most of the events surrounding the Gran Prix of Beverly will be held as scheduled, despite heavy rains in the area. The event features elite-level bicycle racing in downtown Beverly. Kids races, however, have been canceled.
Adult races start at 4 pm and run through 8 pm. The Family Parade at 5:45 pm will still be held, with a meeting spot on the Beverly Common. And the Atomic Cafe and Ipswich Beer Garden will be open.
