Windover Construction is pleased to announce it started preconstruction on two residence hall projects for Middlesex School in Concord, Massachusetts. With preconstruction well underway, construction will start in June 2015. The work will be scheduled in stages around Middlesex’s academic calendar to minimize impact on school life – something Windover is becoming known for – with a final completion date of July 2016.
Teaming with CBT Architects, the projects will provide extensive updates to Middlesex School’s Clay House residence and add a new four-story, 36-bed residence hall. Clay House enabling work started while students were away this past March Break, and the fast-track renovations will be completed over the upcoming summer in time for the new school year. Preconstruction has also started on the new residence hall, with the bulk of construction to take place from August 2015 to July 2016. The steel framed structure will feature masonry façade and slate roof inspired by the school’s classic New England setting.
