1 Person Injured After Early Morning MBTA Bus Accident In Boston
The incident took place in Mattapan.
BOSTON, MA — One person is injured after an MBTA bus crashed into a tree and fence in the Mattapan neighborhood early Thursday morning, according to MBTA Transit Police.
The crash occurred at approximately 6 a.m. on Cummins Highway near Harvard Street. According to MBTA Transit Police Superintendent Richard Sullivan, the bus reportedly swerved to avoid another motor vehicle before crashing.
"The front of the bus sustained damage in the crash," Sullivan told Patch. "One passenger was transported to a local medical facility with minor injuries."

The bus was removed from the scene following the crash.
The incident remains under investigation by the MBTA Transit Police.
