3 Dead In Separate Boston Weekend Shootings

Two men and a woman died in shootings that took place Saturday and Sunday in Dorchester and Mattapan.

BOSTON, MA — Boston police detectives are investigating three separate fatal shootings that happened over the weekend in two city neighborhoods.

Baird Street

The first shooting took place near 1 a.m. Saturday along Baird Street in Dorchester in a neighborhood just south of Harambee Park. Police found the victim, Daniel Sanders, 36, suffering from a gunshot wound at the scene. He later died at a local hospital.

Police did not immediately announce any arrests linked to the shooting.

Fairlawn Avenue

Just before 5 a.m. Sunday, police went to 40 Fairlawn Ave. in Mattapan on a report of a shooting. Jasmine Burrell, 33, died at the scene due to her gunshot wounds, police said.

Police did not immediately announce any arrests linked to the shooting.

Geneva Avenue

The final shooting happened near 10:30 p.m. Sunday at 482 Geneva Ave. The sole victim was taken to a hospital, where he died, police said. Police did not immediately announce any arrests linked to that shooting, either.

The Sunday fatal shooting was the second along Geneva Avenue in one week. On Tuesday, three people recording a music video were shot outside a store at 263 Geneva Ave. Aspiring musician Quaaneiruh Goodwyn, 24, died of her gunshot wounds.
