You'll probably want to get a card for her anyway

$25, Online

Each Mother's Day card ordered via the Women's Lunch Place provides a week’s worth of meals and sanctuary to one homeless women in Boston.

For the $25 donation, Women’s Lunch Place will send a hand-signed card on your behalf or will mail it to you directly. Proceeds from the Mother’s Day card campaign support a wide array of services to the most vulnerable women in our community, including healthy meals and individualized services that empower women to make positive changes in their lives. The card features artwork created by a Women’s Lunch Place guest in the Creative Expressions Program.

Women’s Lunch Place opened in November of 1982 to serve women a hot lunch in a safe welcoming place. It's grown from serving lunch three times a week into a supportive community open six days a week. And yes, there are ways to explore volunteering here.
