52 MA Schools Get Recognition Under New Accountability System

These schools are the first to be recognized for high achievement, high growth, or significantly exceeding their targets under the system.

More than 50 schools were the first to receive recognition under the state's new accountability system rolled out along with the 2018 MCAS scores Thursday.

State education officials said the accountability system is "more comprehensive" than the previous system. It takes into account more than just test scores, considering student achievement, student growth, high school completion, English proficiency, chronic absenteeism, and advanced coursework.
