Action Bronson To Perform, Debut New Balance Shoe At Boston Event

BOSTON, MA — Unless you were actively refreshing the rapper Action Bronson's Instagram page on Wednesday night, chances are you didn't get a ticket for his New Balance pop-up.

The New York-based artists, television personality and, now, designer, will perform at the event at New Balance's Newbury Street location, which will also give those who managed to score a ticket the opportunity to purchase the limited release.

Bronson will perform along with Daringer at the event, according to his Instagram post. The pop-up sold out within the hour that he posted it.

New Balance has long been a footwear fascination of the artist, but his 990v6 sneaker marks the first official collaboration between himself and the Boston-based brand. Along with the shoe will be a line of apparel.

The Boston event marks the first time members of the general public will get an in-person look at the shoe, which is set to hit the retail market Friday at 10 a.m. EST, according to the New Balance website.
