BOSTON, MA — A brand new steakhouse is set to debut its first Massachusetts location this weekend.
Maple & Ash is expected to open on Friday at 131 Seaport Blvd. in Boston. The restaurant will be located in the Suprette, which is also home to the residential apartment building The Alyx.
The restaurant spans about 12,000 square feet and leans into a dark, upscale look with black walls, warm lighting and a large bar and lounge area up front.
Inside, there’s a mix of lounge seating, a main dining room and an open kitchen centered around a wood-fired hearth. A second-floor terrace overlooking The Superette courtyard is also part of the space.
Maple & Ash is designed to feel more like a night out, with a high-energy atmosphere and shareable menu options.
The restaurant is known for its “I Don’t Give a [expletive]” tasting menu, where the kitchen chooses a multi-course spread for the table.
There’s also “Tower Hour,” a daily happy hour-style offering featuring large seafood towers with clams, scallops, prawns and king crab.
The menu includes a mix of raw bar items, steaks, seafood and pasta.
Some highlights include Wagyu beef carpaccio with king crab and caviar, lobster caviar roll, dry-aged ribeye and porterhouse steaks, whole-roasted sea bass, and day-boat scallops. The restaurant also features sides and pastas, including ricotta agnolotti and potatoes au gratin.
Maple & Ash is open Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., with Tower Hour running from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Reservations are available online, and valet parking is offered.
