BOSTON, MA — A Fenway Park bar with a view straight into the ballpark has been named one of the best local sports bars in the country.
Bleacher Bar on Lansdowne Street in Boston's Fenway Park was named the No. 2 Best Local Sports Bar in the Country. That’s according to USA Today’s 2026 Reader Choice Awards.
The awards were launched this year, with nominees selected by an expert panel and finalized by USA TODAY Sports editors before public voting, according to USA TODAY Co. A Bar of Their Own in Minneapolis took the top spot.
Bleacher Bar is best known for its draft beers, cocktails, and ballpark fare. Its claim to fame is that it sits directly under the center field bleachers at Fenway Park, with a garage-style window that looks onto the field, according to USA Today.
The Lansdowne Street landmark officially opened its doors in 2008. The spot was previously used as the team’s batting cage and field storage.
Bleacher Bar is also filled with ballpark fare and memorabilia, like a “love letter to Red Sox history,” according to the publication.
"Visitors rave about the once in a lifetime view — even on non game days — and many say the novelty alone makes it a must visit," USA Today wrote. "Add in surprisingly solid burgers, friendly staff, and that unmistakable Fenway atmosphere, and it’s easy to see why people call it one of Boston’s most iconic sports bars."
