BOSTON, MA — A Boston firefighter has died after battling a house fire in Dorchester this past weekend, according to a report from WCVB NewsCenter 5.
Robert Kilduff Jr., 53, suffered severe injuries after falling from the third floor of the home on Treadway Road while battling the blaze on Saturday, May 23. Firefighters attacked the blaze from both the outside of the house and the interior and had the fire knocked down in about 20 minutes.
Kilduff worked for the Boston Fire Department for 24 years after serving in the United States Marine Corps. He also worked at the Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts and was a member of the International Association of Firefighters. He is survived by his two children.
