The space at 420 D St. was designed in collaboration with Floratorium, a botanical design studio, and will include ivy-wrapped entrances, seating areas with camellia foliage and wisteria vines, sculptural swings and pergolas, according to the release.

Shipping containers covered with jasmine and ivy will serve food and drinks. Menu items will include poke bowls, fire-grilled skewers, shrimp lettuce wraps, mango and watermelon cups, burgers, wraps, grilled cheese, fried seafood, wings and lobster rolls, according to the release.

Drinks will be served from four on-site bars, including specialty cocktails, frozen cocktails, wine, beer, hard seltzer and nonalcoholic options.

The Grove will also feature weekend live music, movie nights, sports screenings and one of the largest LED screens in the Greater Boston area, according to the release.

“We are ecstatic for this next iteration of the Lawn on D and can’t wait to welcome guests to The Grove this summer,” Kristen Bonish, general manager for Rebel Restaurants at The Lawn on D, said in the release.

The opening day event will include Harpoon’s Boston Chilling Low Key Music Fest, which is free and open to the public from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday.

The Grove will be open to guests of all ages from 5 to 11 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays, 3 to 11 p.m. on Wednesdays through Fridays, and noon to 11 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
