A true staple of Boston's theater district is officially making its way back to the Hub this holiday season—and they are bringing an entirely new twist with them.
Blue Man Group has announced its first-ever dedicated holiday production, titled "A New Holiday Surprise." The touring show will make a limited stop at the Boch Center Wang Theatre this December, marking a grand homecoming for the iconic group following the close of their historic 30-year run at the Charles Playhouse in 2025.
The festive run will feature 13 performances scheduled between Dec. 15 and Dec. 23, giving local theatergoers and families a chance to experience the silent trio in a whole new seasonal light.
The all-new production blends Blue Man Group's signature high-energy percussion, vibrant visuals, and comedic absurdity with classic holiday music performed on their custom-built instruments.
According to organizers, the story follows the Blue Men as they navigate the rituals, traditions, and general quirks of the holiday season, centering on themes of generosity, togetherness, and creativity.

For three decades, Blue Man Group was a cornerstone of Boston's performing arts identity, introducing generations of local residents and tourists alike to their unique form of non-verbal, interactive performance art.
Leadership at the Boch Center expressed strong enthusiasm about hosting the group's return to the neighborhood.
