BOSTON, MA — Police are investigating a shooting in the Hyde Park neighborhood that left one person dead and four others injured early Monday morning, according to a report from WCVB NewsCenter 5.
Officers responded to the area of 1184 Hyde Park Ave. at approximately 12:38 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. Police said responding officers found five adults suffering from gunshot wounds. All five victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment, where one later died from their injuries.
Boston police said the Homicide Unit is leading the investigation, which remained active Monday morning as detectives continued processing the scene. Video from the area showed numerous evidence markers along Hyde Park Avenue, which was temporarily closed between an AutoZone and a nearby gas station while investigators examined the scene.
