Boston Housing Project Receives Large Grant (patch.com) โ€” Boston residents, especially in Jamaica Plain, could see a major boost in senior housing and memory care as Rogerson Communities moves forward with a six-story redevelopment of Rogerson House. Backed by a new $250,000 foundation grant and millions in city support, the project will add dozens of memory care units, affordable apartments, and public garden space while addressing the city's rapidly growing older population.

Boston Police Tow More Than 30 Mopeds As Part Of Operation Kickstand (patch.com) โ€” Boston police have intensified enforcement against unregistered and unsafe mopeds, towing 31 vehicles in Roxbury this week as part of Operation Kickstand and issuing a dozen summonses. The crackdown, spanning neighborhoods like Dorchester, the South End and Back Bay, coincides with statewide efforts to update micromobility laws and could affect how Boston riders use scooters and mopeds going forward.

Boston Woman Sentenced In Bank Fraud Scheme (patch.com) โ€” A Boston woman has been sentenced in federal court for her role in a bank fraud scheme that used a local business account to move tens of thousands of dollars in bogus cashier's checks. Prosecutors say her actions helped a wider, multi-state operation that allegedly targeted banks across Massachusetts, including those overseen by FBI investigators based in Boston.

4. 2 Men Federally Charged In Connection With Boston Bank Robberies (patch.com) โ€” Federal prosecutors have charged two men in connection with armed robberies at Santander and TD Bank branches in the Boston neighborhoods of Roxbury and Roslindale. Authorities say one suspect brandished a gun and threatened employees while the other corralled staff, before the pair fled with cash and now face serious federal penalties.

Texas Teen Wanted In Connection With Fatal South Station Stabbing (patch.com) โ€” Boston police are searching for 17-year-old Marico Levy of Texas, wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of 29-year-old Latavius Owens inside South Station on August 12. The attack briefly disrupted Red Line service, and investigators are reviewing surveillance footage and seeking tips from the public as the homicide probe continues.
