A potentially unsettling development for employees at this off-campus Mass General Brigham site.

| Updated

BOSTON, MA — Police are investigating after a device resembling a hidden camera was found in a locker room area at an off-campus Mass General Brigham research facility, according to a report from NBC10 Boston.

Officers responded shortly to the scene in Roxbury after 9 a.m. Wednesday, after a manager reported that the device had been found inside a shower and changing room area. Managers told police a woman noticed the device while leaving the shower room, at which point it fell to the floor.

Detectives took possession of the device and processed and photographed the scene. Police have not yet determined whether the device was actually a camera, and the incident remains under investigation.

Mass General Brigham said it immediately notified police and secured the area as a precaution. The organization said the space is badge-access only and limited to researchers, with patients and other staff unable to access it.
