2 Arrested After 3 Guns Recovered In Boston

BOSTON, MA — Two people are facing multiple firearm charges after Boston Police recovered three guns during an investigation in Dorchester.

Christian Taylor, 19, and a 15-year-old male were arrested after officers, detectives and members of the Youth Violence Strike Force conducted a firearm investigation near 50 American Legion Highway at approximately 2:04 p.m. Police said investigators had information that a person under the age of 21 had multiple semi-automatic firearms.

While monitoring the address, officers reportedly saw Taylor leave the building with another person and begin walking toward Blue Hill Avenue. Taylor allegedly began running after seeing police while clutching his waistband before officers stopped him and recovered a firearm from inside his shorts.

At the same time, a second person fled toward Franklin Park. Police said the 15-year-old was seen clutching an object near the front of his waistband before tripping and falling. Officers took him into custody and reportedly recovered a firearm a few feet from where he fell.

After both were taken into custody, detectives executed a search warrant at 50 American Legion Highway and recovered a third firearm, according to police.

The three guns were identified as a Beretta 92X loaded with eight rounds of ammunition, including one in the chamber; a ghost gun equipped with a flashlight and red grip loaded with five rounds, including one in the chamber; and a Derringer CB38 with one round in the chamber. Police said the Beretta and ghost gun had magazines capable of holding 18 and 15 rounds, respectively.

Taylor is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on two counts each of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition without an FID card, and possession of a large-capacity feeding device. He also faces charges of unlawful possession of a loaded firearm and a firearm violation with one prior violent crime.

The 15-year-old is expected to be arraigned on delinquency charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition without an FID card, unlawful possession of a loaded firearm, and possession of a large-capacity feeding device.

A 17-year-old girl was also summonsed to Dorchester District Court on a delinquency charge of unlawful possession of ammunition without an FID card.
