Man Arrested In Boston Shooting That Damaged Several Vehicles

While no one was injured in this shooting, some vehicles took damage.

BOSTON, MA — A man is facing multiple firearm charges in connection with an April incident in which Boston Police recovered 20 spent shell casings and found ballistic damage to several vehicles in Roxbury.

David Dillard, 22, of Roxbury, was arrested Monday by officers in connection with an April 14 ShotSpotter activation near 14 Abbotsford St., according to police.

Officers responded to the area at approximately 7:49 p.m. following the ShotSpotter activation. Police and detectives searched the area and reportedly recovered 20 spent shell casings.

Officers also found ballistic damage to several vehicles in the area, according to police. No injuries were reported.

Dillard is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon involving a firearm, attempted assault and battery by discharge of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, possession of ammunition without an FID card, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
