BOSTON, MA — A teenager has been arrested in connection with a double homicide that occurred last year, according to the Boston Police Department.
The 16-year-old boy from Foxborough was arrested at approximately 1:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4, near Community Way in Foxborough in connection with the May 2025 shooting deaths of Walter Wilkins, 36, of Quincy, and Anthony McIntosh, 66, of Dorchester.
Officers assigned to the Boston Police Fugitive Unit, assisted by members of the U.S. Marshals Service, Massachusetts State Police and Foxborough Police Department, took the juvenile into custody on an outstanding arrest warrant issued out of Suffolk Superior Court earlier that day.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Saturday, May 24, 2025, when officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation near 38 Franklin Hill Ave. in Dorchester at approximately 9:45 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers located two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to local hospitals with life-threatening injuries.
Wilkins was pronounced dead the night of the shooting, while McIntosh remained hospitalized in critical condition before dying several days later, on May 28. Boston Police initially reported one death before confirming both victims' deaths and publicly identifying them in an update released June 1, 2025.
The deaths were Boston's 14th and 15th homicides of 2025, according to information released by police at the time.
Following an investigation, authorities obtained an arrest warrant for the teen on two counts of murder and one count of carrying a firearm without a license, second offense. The U.S. Marshals Service said the teen was transported to Boston following his arrest.
The Boston Police Homicide Unit is continuing to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact homicide detectives at 617-343-4470.
