Here's where you should be escaping to.

Need a break from the day-to-day grind and just want to be treated like royalty for the night ? You're in luck. U.S. News & World Report has released its rankings of the best hotels across the country and within Massachusetts.

The report looked at more than 24,000 luxury hotels to come up with the rankings. Hotels that received a gold badge were in the top 10 percent of ranked hotels. Hawaii’s Four Seasons Resort Lanai ranked first, followed by The Peninsula Chicago at No. 2 and The Langham, Chicago at No. 3.

If those don't fit your fancy, don't fret: There are plenty of great hotels in the Bay State, too. Nine of the following top 10 received gold badges.
