Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern MA Raises Over $1.2 Million for Youth Mentoring Programs
The Nonprofit's 51st Annual Golf Classic Draws More than 400 Participants

BOSTON - On Thursday, June 4, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts (BBBSEM) celebrated another successful year at its 51st Annual Golf Classic at Pinehills Golf Club. The event raised more than $1.2 million to support BBBSEM's life-changing one-to-one youth mentoring programs, bringing together more than 400 golfers for a day of friendly competition, camaraderie, and giving back to the community.
With a full day of action on the greens, golfers competed in foursomes with all proceeds benefiting the nonprofit's mission of pairing youth with caring adult mentors who help them reach their fullest potential. Now in its 51st year, Golf Classic continues to be a cornerstone event in BBBSEM's efforts to empower local youth across Eastern Massachusetts.
The event kicked off at 8:30 a.m., with participants arriving to a warm welcome. Following the 9 a.m. shotgun start, golfers enjoyed a scenic round of golf before gathering for a cocktail reception later in the day. During the reception, Mark O'Donnell, President and CEO of BBBSEM, spoke about the nonprofit's mission and the profound impact that mentoring can have on both youth and their communities.

"Every year, this event reminds me of the incredible generosity of this community and what it means for the young people we serve," says O'Donnell, who walks his talk as a former two-time volunteer mentor for the organization. "Raising over $1.2 million is a testament to how many people believe that every child deserves a caring mentor in their corner. We are deeply grateful."
The day ended with a heartfelt thank-you to all supporters, volunteers, and participants who helped make the event a success. In total, more than $1.2 million was raised to support BBBSEM's continued efforts to match local youth with caring adult mentors across the region.
