Boston! Amazon Will Now Deliver to You in One Hour
Rejoice, impatient customers. You can now get Amazon items shipped to you in an hour.
BOSTON - You want it, and you want it now. Well, spoiled brat, if "it" can be found on Amazon, you may very well have your way.
The tech and retail giant announced one- and two-hour delivery is now available to all of Boston and some surrounding areas. That means if you want anything from "daily essentials" to video game controllers and fax machines, all you need to do is click, pay, and (barely) wait.
Amazon's two-hour delivery is free for Amazon Prime members, but it costs $7.99 for one-hour delivery. They are both available seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to midnight. Amazon Prime costs $99 for a yearlong subscription.

The company hasn't said the exact locations it will provide the service to, but it is at least all of Boston, Malden, and Everett, according to the company's announcement and some mobile efforts from this reporter.
Amazon already had same-day delivery in much of Greater Boston. Using same-day delivery, an item ordered before noon would be at your doorstep by 9 p.m.

In January, it was reported Amazon was seeking to quickly grow in Boston.
Amazon opened its first physical retail location in Massachusetts last month, an Amazon Books location in Dedham.
