Boston Comic Con 2016: What You Need to Know

Cosplayers, superfans, and some of the most popular celebrities in the comic book and sci-fi world are coming to Boston this weekend.

BOSTON, MA — The largest comic book convention is back along with over 40,000 superhero-loving, cosplaying attendees.

The Boston Comic Con takes over the Seaport this weekend for three days packed with celebrities, artists, and pop culture icons. The event, located at the Seaport World Trade Center, started at noon Friday and runs until 6 p.m. Sunday. A large crowd is expected in the area, so don’t be too surprised if you see a few more Deadpools or Starfleet officers walking around Boston.

Hours of Operation

  • Friday: Noon - 8 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
  • Sunday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Ticket Prices

  • Friday: $30 ($40 at the gate)
  • Saturday: $45 ($55 at the gate)
  • Sunday: $40 ($50 at the gate)
  • Three-Day: $90 (Online only)

Transportation
Fans driving to the con are encouraged to take Exit 25 on Interstate 90, Exit 20 on Interstate 93 North, or Exit 23 on Interstate 93 South. Parking is available at the Seaport Hotel and there are multiple parking lots in walking distance to the venue.

Those taking the T should hop on Sliver Line 1 to the WTC Station. The Silver Line can be accessed at South Station.


Comic Con Night at the Red Sox

Expect to see your favorite costumed characters if you’re going to Fenway Park Friday night. The Red Sox will be hosing Boston Comic Con/Star Trek 50th Anniversary night. Special guest William Shatner will throw out the first pitch.
