Boston East Seeking Artwork Submissions for Opening Gallery Show “East Boston: Past and Present”
Trinity Financial accepting original submissions to showcase in the art gallery of new 200-unit luxury development in East Boston

Boston, MA (September 28, 2017) – Trinity Financial announced today that it is soliciting artwork submissions to showcase during the new Boston East Art Gallery Opening Show.
The show’s theme is “East Boston: Past and Present” and submissions are open to individual and teamed artists and designers residing in East Boston and the Greater Boston area. The public gallery, located at the Boston East luxury community in East Boston, is scheduled to open this January and the show will begin on January 26, 2018.
“The gallery at Boston East is a tremendous space that will recognize and celebrate the work of artists throughout the region,” said Abby Goldenfarb, a Development Vice President at Trinity Financial. “The opening show will highlight East Boston’s rich history and culture, and we’re excited to announce this call for submissions to feature in the gallery space.”

Located directly on Boston Harbor and in close proximity to Downtown Boston and the MBTA, Boston East is a boutique, mid-rise residential community that features 200 units, including six artist live-work-sell units and a public art gallery. The development takes advantage of beautiful views of the Harbor and downtown Boston with large floor-to-ceiling windows in many units, ample outdoor space, patios and decks and a large rooftop lounge.
Community amenities include a Harbor Walk that extends beyond the development, the Yard and fire pit, a kayak and paddleboard launch, an indoor gym, and even a dog spa. The interior of Boston East will feature designs by Cortney and Bob Novogratz, who are known for their unique taste and style that has been shown on HGTV and in the collaboration with companies such as CB2.

“Boston East is a vibrant community with outstanding amenities that incorporate the waterfront and arts and culture,” added Goldenfarb. “The East Boston neighborhood is known for its growing and thriving arts scene, and we believe the art gallery at Boston East will serve as another venue to showcase the work of talented artists from across the region.”
The theme for the opening show is “East Boston: Past and Present,” and art submissions should highlight or capture some aspect of East Boston – including themes such as maritime history, industry, culture and more. Artwork can be wall-mounted or free-standing, and acceptable mediums include paintings, collages, photography, drawing, mixed media, and small sculptures.
Prospective artists can submit their original work digitally to the following ShareFile link: https://goo.gl/xAw5ej. For Mac users, submissions work best using Chrome/Chrome Firefox as the internet browser, rather than Safari.
Artists will need to register with a name and email address, and they should upload a current resume with contact information and a description of artwork and themes. Artists may submit up to five works of art. Submit one clearly labeled digital image for each piece, not exceeding five images, in JPEG format. Maximum size per image is 2MG and each image should be named as: lastnamefirstnameimagenumber.jpg. Artists should also submit a corresponding numbered image list with title, media, dimensions, location, description, date of work, project budget, and project partners if applicable.
Digital copies must be sent before November 6, 2017. Winning submissions will be selected following a three-week deliberation period. Winning artists must deliver their selected art by December 18, 2017.
