Boston Marathon 2016: Your Guide to the Commuter Rail

Here's a look at what to expect traveling in and out of Boston this weekend.

BOSTON, MA - The MBTA Commuter Rail will operate on an adjusted schedule this weekend, with added rules and restrictions to accommodate marathon crowds.

Trains will be running on a regular weekday schedule Monday, and runners and spectators are advised to take public transportation to and from the marathon.

Due to overcrowding, bicycles - including folding bikes - will not be allowed on the Commuter Rail on Monday. Riders on the North Side Commuter Rail lines will be permitted to bring their bikes on Sunday, but bikes are prohibited on the South Side lines both days.
