Boy Accused of Sexually Assaulting Another at Boston Boys and Girls Club

BOSTON, MA – An alleged sexual assault of a young boy by another child of the same age at a South Boston Boys and Girls Club is being investigated by Boston police, reports say. Authorities arrested the child Saturday afternoon.

Parents were notified of the incident on Monday. In a note sent home to families, the club said the alleged perpetrator is a member of a partner organization and the victim is a club member, according to NBC Boston.

"Child safety and protection is our number one priority, and we apply intense due diligence to all aspects of policy and operations to reduce risk and provide a safe, secure environment," The Boys and Girls Club said in a statement to media outlets.
