BTT Boston Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Fighters Compete At The OSO Boston

Local, BTT Boston, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Fighters Compete At The OSO Boston. This is a new Submission-Only, No Time-Limit tournament.

BTT Boston's Jiu Jitsu fighters competed at the OSO Boston. OSO Boston is a new Submission Only Tournament, from Grappling Industries and was held in Danvers, MA on February 9th. OSO Boston's matches had no time-limits, no point, or referee's decisions.

OSO Boston's NoGi, Advanced divisions are some of the most challenging. They allow more techniques than the typical tournament. Techniques like jumping into closed guard and flying scissor takedown and submissions like knee reaping and heel hooks are legal at OSO Boston's. These techniques are more often illegal at point tournaments. Alex Evoras placed 1st in the NoGi, Advanced, Senior (40+), -210 lbs division.

Alex Evoras, is a BTT Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt. Mr. Evoras trains and sometimes even teaches at BTT Boston. He is also owner of Expresso Pizza, located at 131 Boston Rd, North Billerica, MA 01862.

Ed Tapia placed 1st in the Gi, Blue Belt, Senior (40+), -210 lbs division and placed 2nd in the NoGi, Intermediate, Senior (40+), -210 lbs division. Ed Tapia trains at Woo Kickboxing of Londonderry and cross trains at BTT Boston.

Johnny Loreti competed and placed in 3 divisions.

  • 2nd place, NoGi, Beginner, Master (30+), -210 LBS, division
  • 3rd place, Gi, White Belt, Master (30+), -210 LBS, division
  • 3rd place Absolute Gi, White Belt, Adult, division

Philip Morris is a BTT White Belt that placed 2nd in the NoGi, Beginner, Adult, -170 lbs division.
