Bus Carrying 32 Boston Students Catches Fire In Maryland

BOSTON, MA — Nearly three dozen students from the Fisher College of Boston baseball team were removed from a bus that caught fire in Maryland late Sunday morning on I-95 North near I-695, the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company wrote in a Facebook post Sunday afternoon.

The players were traveling home from a weekend series in North Carolina when the team bus caught fire, officials told Boston25.

“Instead of having them sit on the side of the road for the next four hours, we really wanted to make sure they were safe because of how dangerous 95 is,” White Marsh Volunteer Firefighter Xavier Owens told Boston25. “We brought them over to our station to hang out while they waited for their bus.”
