Cab Driver Who Returned Homeless Man's $187K Gets Free Cruise
What do you think about the cruise line's generous reward?
It feels like few good deeds go viral, but when they do it's in big ways — and sometimes with big rewards.
Take Raymond “Buzzy” MacCausland, identified as the upright cabbie who returned more than $187,000 in cash left in a backpack in his taxi's back seat.
The Boston Globe reports Wednesday that Royal Caribbean Cruises is offering Buzzy and his longtime girlfriend an all-expenses-paid Caribbean cruise as reward.

The passenger who left his cash behind in the cab was reportedly homeless and had inherited the money from his parents, which he later proved to police before recovering his backpack and giving Buzzy a $100 tip.
Since the Boston Police Department spread word of the honest cabbie yesterday afternoon, the story has spread far and wide, including numerous TV interviews and national stories. In the midst of all that, Royal Caribbean apparently got word and reached out to offer the free trip for a deed well done.

“We’re currently running a program called ‘Ticket to Adventure,’ where we reward people that do exceptionally selfless acts, and Buzzy certainly qualifies,” a company spokesman told the paper by e-mail.
