The <a href="https://www.cambridgesymphony.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Cambridge Symphony Orchestra</a> (CSO)
opens its 2026/27 Masterworks season on Friday, October 30 at 8pm at NEC’s Jordan Hall with a program exploring mortality, reflection, faith, and transcendence. Led by Music Director Cynthia Woods in her 20th season as conductor, the concert program moves from darkness toward light, beginning with Brahms’ meditation on mortality in Nänie, Bach’s unmistakably gothic Toccata and Fugue in D minor arranged for orchestra by Leopold Stokowski, and culminates in Poulenc’s celebratory Gloria. The program repeats on Sunday, November 8 at 4pm at the Moloney Performing Arts Center at UMass Lowell.
Soprano Laura Santamaria joins the orchestra for Gloria, alongside the combined voices of the UMass Lowell University Choir and Chamber Singers, directed by Jonathan Richter, D.M.A., and the Nashoba Valley Chorale, directed by Anne Watson Born.

The CSO's November 8 concert in Lowell will feature the <a href="https://www.lcalowell.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Lowell Art Council</a> as its Spotlight Partner.

Kings is celebrating Halloween from day to night with trick-or-treating, themed drinks, and plenty of reasons to dress up.
From 11:30 AM – 2 PM, families can make their way through the venue for a building-wide trick-or-treat experience. Then, from 8 PM onward, the fun shifts to adults-only with hidden “Trick” and “Treat” cards placed throughout Kings. Tricks might include bowling a frame with a non-dominant hand, while treats can include free appetizers and other prizes. Costumes are encouraged for both experiences.
Guests can also channel their spooky vibes with the Boo’s Bag ($13), an IV-style drink bag filled with Ghost Tequila, Blood Orange, Fresh Lemon &amp; Lime, Triple Sec, available from Oct. 12 - 31.

Join us for the 2026 Stronger Together Health Fair, a FREE Halloween-themed community health fair bringing health, wellness, and fun together for the Boston community!
Hosted by the Global Early Detection Initiative (GEDI) and the American Lung Cancer Screening Initiative (ALCSI), Stronger Together will bring together healthcare organizations, community nonprofits, mobile health services, and local organizations to connect Boston residents with important health resources in one welcoming space.
Attendees can explore free health screenings, preventive care resources, health education, and community services, while meeting organizations from across the Boston area.
🎃 Since the health fair falls on Halloween, there will also be Halloween-themed activities and family-friendly fun! Costumes are welcome!
