Five-Time Bank Robber: Yes, I Robbed Banks

Was it worth it? He only averaged a little over $1,640 per bank.

BOSTON, MA — A local man pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court to robbing five banks this year, netting a grand total of more than $8,200, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.

The Department of Justice said Thomas W. Nee, 46, of Boston, robbed the Santander on Comm. Ave. in April, the Citizens on Tremont St., Century on State St., and Randolph Savings on School St. in May, and the Eastern Bank on West Broadway in June. Nee handed a teller a note demanding money in each instance.

Nee will be sentenced in January. The maximum prison sentence for each count is 20 years.
