BOSTON, MA — A nonprofit has raised more than $1.5 million to support pediatric health care for children and families through a recent event.

During the evening, founder and pediatrician Dr. Robyn Riseberg announced plans to open an additional practice in Nubian Square within the next year. The organization said the new location would mark the largest expansion of access in its history. Riseberg credited supporters with making the next phase of growth possible.
“The BCP Way helps us find our way back to what healthcare can and should be,” Riseberg said. “It removes the bureaucracy and brings us back to the humanity of healthcare, which is where we plan to stay.”

Since opening in November 2020, Boston Community Pediatrics has grown to provide integrated pediatric health care to nearly 2,000 children each year, most of whom are living with low incomes. Its approach focuses on improving access to care and building relationships with families, providers, and community organizations.
The practice, located at 527 Albany St., offers primary care, mental health services, case management, and pediatric wellness support, according to its website.
Boston Community Pediatrics describes itself as the first nonprofit pediatric private practice in Massachusetts. The organization provides care regardless of insurance coverage or ability to pay, with goals that include expanding access to pediatric and mental health care and helping families navigate resources to address social needs.
