Elderly Boston Woman Killed In Drive-by Shooting
The woman was not the intended target of a shooting in Mattapan, according to police.

BOSTON, MA — A 74-year-old woman was shot and killed during a drive-by shooting in Mattapan just before 5 p.m. Saturday. Two other people had what police were calling non-life threatening injuries. Police said the woman, whose name was not released, was not the target of the attack.
All three victims were outside of the house at 10 Mattapan Street when the shooting occurred. A SWAT team entered the house and left after searching the home and finding it was empty.
Boston Mayor Martin Walsh, Police Commissioner William Gross and Suffolk County District Attorney Rachael Rollins were at the scene, along with what was described as a 'huge' police presence as the investigation got underway.
