J.P. Licks Welcomes Fall With Pumpkin, Apple and Caramel Treats

J.P. Licks is welcoming fall with a lineup of seasonal favorites and new creations inspired by the flavors of the season. From pumpkin and apple to caramel and warm spices, the Boston-based ice cream and coffee shop is rolling out limited-time ice cream, frozen yogurt, coffee drinks and bakery treats throughout the fall.

It wouldn't be fall without pumpkin spice. Pumpkin Cookies 'N' Cream Ice Cream — creamy pumpkin custard blended with cinnamon, nutmeg and molasses and packed with crushed chocolate sandwich cookies — is available now at all J.P. Licks locations. Pumpkin Spice Ice Cream, featuring pumpkin custard blended with nutmeg, molasses and cinnamon, returned to stores on October 7.

The seasonal lineup extends to the coffee bar, where Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Pumpkin Spice Chai are available now. Two new takes on the classic affogato joined the menu on October 7: the Pumpkin Spice Affogato — vanilla ice cream topped with espresso and pumpkin spice sauce — and the Hot Honey Affogato — vanilla ice cream topped with espresso and Mike's Hot Honey.

Apple takes center stage in several of this year's frozen offerings. Apple Crisp Ice Cream, featuring apple ice cream with a swirl of crushed oatmeal cookies and a hint of cinnamon, is available through October. Also available: Caramel Apple Ice Cream, apple ice cream with a hint of cinnamon and a caramel ripple; Dairy-Free Salted Caramel Ice Cream; and Oatmeal Cookie Hard Yogurt, sweet cream low-fat hard yogurt loaded with crushed oatmeal cookies.

J.P. Licks' bakery cases are getting a seasonal refresh, too. Fall offerings include Apple Walnut Coffee Cake, Pumpkin Coffee Cake and Frosted Pumpkin Muffins, along with the newest addition to the bakery lineup, Apple Fritters.

Cakes, pies and scoops with a purpose

J.P. Licks also offers custom and ready-to-go ice cream cakes and pies for birthdays, gatherings and fall celebrations. New seasonal designs include the Fall Completely Covered Cake, featuring the ice cream cake of your choice covered in fall sprinkles; the Hello Kitty Cake, finished with pink sprinkles and a fondant Hello Kitty decoration; the Boston Bruins Cake; and a festive Pumpkin Pie.

Beyond its seasonal menu, J.P. Licks is continuing its commitment to supporting the communities it serves through its work with the Ellie Fund. Pink sprinkles and pink sprinkle-dipped cones are available at J.P. Licks locations to help raise awareness for the organization and its mission. Founded in 1993, the Ellie Fund's mission is to ease the financial and logistical burdens of breast cancer treatment so patients can focus on their health. It serves adults, young adults, teens, and seniors in active breast cancer treatment, whether residents of Massachusetts or patients traveling to Massachusetts for care.
