Loaded Gun Recovered On School Property After Boston Foot Chase
The reported apprehension took place in the Dorchester neighborhood.
BOSTON, MA — A man is facing multiple charges after Boston Police recovered a loaded, untraceable firearm following a foot pursuit in Dorchester.
Fall River resident Tavarys Bullock, 21, was arrested in the area of Blue Hill Avenue and McLellan Street after officers on patrol saw him among a large group gathered following the conclusion of the Dominican Festival. Officers were attempting to disperse the crowd and clear the road when they saw Bullock grabbing his waistband and appearing to scan the crowd.
Officers continued to watch Bullock before he allegedly fled on foot down McLellan Street after seeing police. Officers pursued Bullock and reportedly saw him reach into his waistband and throw a firearm over a fence with his left hand before he was taken into custody.

Police said they recovered the firearm on the opposite side of the fence on the property of the Berea Academy School. The untraceable 9mm firearm was loaded with 14 rounds of ammunition.
Bullock is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of carrying a loaded firearm without a license, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a large-capacity firearm, possession of ammunition without an FID card, and receiving an untraceable firearm.
