Loaded Handgun Recovered After 2 Men Removed From Boston Building

BOSTON, MA — Two men are facing charges after Boston Police recovered a loaded handgun from a bag left behind at a building in the Back Bay neighborhood, according to police.

Austin Glover, 29, and Corron Wilson, 27, of Randolph, were arrested after officers responded at approximately 10:09 p.m. to 39 Dalton St. for a report of a found firearm. Security personnel told officers they had removed two men from the property before one allegedly left behind a bag containing a black firearm on a countertop.

Officers secured the firearm and reportedly found identification cards belonging to Glover inside the bag. Detectives reviewed security footage and identified Glover as the person seen in possession of the bag containing the firearm.

At approximately 10:55 p.m., officers located Glover and Wilson inside a loading dock at 800 Boylston St. Police reportedly saw both men breaking a vehicle gate before taking them into custody. Officers also learned that both men had been issued no-trespass notices for the area earlier that evening.

Detectives determined the firearm was a Taurus PT140 Millennium G2 loaded with nine rounds of ammunition, including one round in the chamber, according to police.

Glover is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on charges of carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without an FID card, malicious destruction of property, and trespassing.

Wilson is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on charges of malicious destruction of property and trespassing.
