BOSTON, MA — Competitors come from all over the world to compete in the Boston Marathon. But the Bay State runners still have a say in things atop the leaderboard.

Two Massachusetts runners finished in the top 10 Monday during the 2018 Boston Marathon. Marblehead's Shalene Flanagan finished sixth in the elite women's race with a time of 2 hours 46 minutes 31 seconds, and Wilmington native Dan Vassallo finished 10th in the men's race at 2:27:50. Vassallo now lives in Peabody.
