MA Thanksgiving Weather: Sub-Zero Wind Chills, Near-Record Cold

Thanksgiving and Black Friday are going to be bitterly cold, thanks to possibly the coldest air on record and heavy winds.

Thanksgiving isn't likely to be one of those beautiful fall days New England loves to fantasize about. Actually, it's going to be really, really cold.

The wind chills for Wednesday night into Thursday morning are going to be sub-zero for much of Massachusetts, forecasters said. The National Weather Service is calling it near-record cold, with possibly the coldest Thanksgiving air since records started in 1872.

The afternoon highs Thursday will be in the low-to-mid 20s. The cold will be exacerbated by wind gusts of more than 30 miles per hour.
