MA Weather: Extreme Winter Winds, Temperatures Return Tonight
Wind chill factors will plummet yet again, straddling zero degrees for most of the state.

Extreme winter weather will return to Massachusetts tonight, just without the snow. A wind advisory has been called for the entire state as temperatures fall, meaning wind chill factors will plummet toward zero again over the weekend.
The wind advisory will be in effect from 7 p.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Saturday. Wind gusts will be around 50 miles per hour, and combined with temperatures dropping in the single digits and teens, wind chills will dip below zero in the central and western parts of the state and into the single digits in the eastern part.
The cold itself will be dangerous, but the wind gusts will be strong enough to knock down tree limbs and cause power outages. Patch will keep you up to date on local impacts, so subscribe to your local Patch for free.

The return of more "wintry weather" could come midweek next week, the National Weather Service said. The NWS didn't have much detail, but said it will "keep an eye on things" for Tuesday and Wednesday.
