MA Weather: Thunderstorms, Hail, Tornado Risk
The National Weather Service said it "can't rule out an isolated tornado" as severe thunderstorms hit Massachusetts.

More storms could wash through Massachusetts Wednesday, two days after much of the state was hit with fast-moving thunderstorms. The National Weather Service said there is a "slight risk for severe t-storms [Wednesday] afternoon/evening."
No weather outlook was issued as of Tuesday night. The greatest risk of storms is northwest of Interstate 95 from Boston to Providence. NWS said it could be worst before 1 p.m., between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., and in the evening.
The greatest threats are large hail and damaging winds, NWS said, but it "can't rule out an isolated tornado." Three tornadoes touched down on the Cape in late July.

Storms broke through a steamy Monday in which temperatures soared to the 90s. Central and Western Massachusetts in particular saw downed trees and power lines. The worst of the storms didn't make it to the Boston area, but Wednesday's could.
