MA Weather: Winter Storm Warning For Heavy Overnight Snow

You might not see the first flake fall, but you'll wake up to a fairly healthy amount of snow.

You might not see a single flake of snow fall tonight, but much of Massachusetts will still wake up to at least several inches of snow Monday morning. Multiple weather advisories and watches will be in effect for the overnight storm.

Monday is Presidents' Day, so no snow day, which is good because this one likely wouldn't have been called until early Monday morning. The snow won't start until around midnight or 1 a.m., the National Weather Service said. Lighter snow will linger into the afternoon.

North of the Mass Pike can mostly expect at least 3 inches, according to the Sunday morning NWS forecast. The Boston area is looking at 4-6 inches, and some of south of Boston may get as many as 8 inches.
